SLUG FOR HUNTING CARTRIDGES CAL .410/70 “MAGNUM ”

Russia - December 16, 1999 -We are proud to introduce the new .410/70
caliber "Magnum" cartridge. The
slug is formed as a cylinder that external diameter is equal to the
diameter of the bore of the smooth – bore weapon caliber .410/70. The
material of the bullet is antimonious lead marked Ssu2. GOST 1292- 84. The
external side surface of the bullet has 11 guiding grooves slanting to the
side surface at the angle of 10 degrees which enable steady flight at the
distance of 50- 80 meters. Bullet weight is 63 g. The head of the bullet
is 58,7% in diameter. A deepened conical cavity of bullet tail is 73,4% of
its diameter. The external surface of tail ends, forming a cylindrical lug
which height is 2 –2,4 % of the external diameter of the
bullet.
Bullet Scheme
The feature of the bullet is, the center of gravity compared with
analogous bullets, is moved closer to the head. Slanting grooves at the
side are properly correlated. These 2 features enable high accuracy and
steady flight at maximum distance for 50 – 80 meters. Bullet dispersion
at a standard distance of 35 m or 50 m is the following: 5 bullets in a
circle of 6 – 8 cm at the distance of 35 m and 5 bullets in the of 12
– 14 cm at the distance of 50 m. This bullet is not intended for any
larger distance.
JSC “BMTP” uses the bullets for hunting cartridges caliber .410/70
“Magnum” completed with metal case, non – corrosive primed KV –27
N, powder “Sunar - 410”. To fix the bullet in a metal case and
decrease its deform it is placed inside special plastic container which
detaches on going out of the bore of a barrel. With the same purpose the
container with the bullet inside is placed in a special wad- compensator
of original construction. This ensures stable forcing pressure and safe
working of “Sayga - 410”.Our cartridges .410 will sell in the
